I'm really not much of a writer; especially about myself. Which is a bit ironic considering my love for all things lexicographical. Creativity does come in spurts however; and since it is not a spigot you can just turn on and off, I will use that as an excuse! In the essence of Dr. Spock, the beginning is a logical place to start and all good books begin with a prologue. Here is what I feel you need to know about me so we can become well acquainted :)
Photography is not something I am classically trained in. I did not painstakingly study it for years and become an expert. For me, photography is art, and art is something I feel. Don't get me wrong, you have to know what you are doing, but passion is my driving force. I've had some scoff at specific photos because they aren't "perfect" as deemed by a textbook. The persons in said photos however were overjoyed with them because they "caught the emotions and essence of the moment." I tell you this, not simply to "toot" my own horn, but to emphasize why I do this. It's not for the money or the fame- it's a love of the game!
Which brings me to another sensitive subject. If you don't like my work- that is okay! As an art form, my photos will not appeal to everyone. I have a specific style, as does any other person in the biz. It's just the truth and there is no shame in preferring one piece of art over another. If you are in the market for a photographer be sure to do your homework! Photos are not shirts you can take home and return if you don't like them. Check out their work; what you see is most likely what you will get. We should be as picky about this as we are about what we put on our sandwiches! (Go mayo!!)
The photos I would like to share with you today are not my best work, nor are they very high quality, they are however my firsts. First photos with my first digital camera. They remind me of where I started and how far I have come <3
